When a person embraces Islam, all their past sins are forgiven, and they are given the opportunity to start a new life guided by piety and virtue. As a Muslim, they can always repent to Allah whenever they make a mistake, for Allah forgives the sins of those who sincerely turn to Him in repentance. A Muslim does not need to go through intermediaries or confess their sins to others; their sins remain solely between them and Allah.
