Islam is a comprehensive way of life, and morality is one of its cornerstones. Islam encourages and commands every good manner and prohibits and warns against every evil and lewd manner. Islam guides individuals to act with politeness and respect, emphasizing good manners and behavior towards others.
It teaches us the nobility of forgiveness, to wish for others what we wish for ourselves, and to guard against deceit, falsehood, and uncharitable thoughts.
It affirms that the most honourable and noble people are those who have the most piety and righteousness, whose hearts are pure and cleansed of envy, hatred, and arrogance. It encourages helping the weak, poor, needy, and disabled, and promotes generosity, charity, and cooperation.
It inspires us to engage in acts of service and volunteerism, teaching that the highest of humanity are those who selflessly contribute to the well-being of others. It teaches gentleness towards animals and the environment and advocates for respecting and caring for parents, the elderly, and family members. It promotes peace, security, and harmony, prohibits transgression, theft, and the killing of innocents, and condemns treason, deception, and broken agreements.
It forbids hatred, malice, backbiting, and the contempt of others, and commands truthfulness, justice, trustworthiness, generosity, and humility- qualities that reflect the noblest of character.
It directs us to nurture harmonious relationships with our Creator, with ourselves, and with those around us, embodying the essence of balance and peace.
