Women's rights in Islam

Women's rights in Islam are firmly established in the teachings of the Quran and the traditions of Prophet Muhammad. Contrary to misconceptions, Islam emphasizes the equality, dignity, and respect of women.

Islam advocates for educational opportunities for both men and women, grants women legal rights in matters such as marriage, divorce, and inheritance, and recognizes their contributions to society. Women have the right to work, engage in business, and participate in public life while upholding principles of modesty and protection. In marriage, consent and mutual respect are paramount. Overall, Islam promotes justice, equality, and compassion in the treatment of women, affirming their fundamental rights and roles in society.
