Why do Muslims perform Hajj?

The counterclockwise circumambulation around the Kaaba resembles the movement of everything in this universe. From the smallest thing to the biggest thing it indicates the movement of the universe.

As the universe from the atom to the galaxy rotates in this direction; and rotation is a cosmic phenomenon that includes everything. The electron revolves around the nucleus and the moons revolve around its planets, and the planets revolve around their suns and suns. The stars revolve around the center of their galaxies. And energy spins in its tracks and it all spins one way.

Pilgrims also circumambulate the Kaaba, it is a symbol of the nature of the universe that Allah has created.

When the pace of life accelerates, running after money, currency rates and body needs, the soul begins to starve...and man forgets his humanity; yet, the indicator of needs does not give you a chance to breathe. Your heart has become a piece of muscle to pump blood what about feelings, spiritualties?

Money crushes all of this, and no matter how many times you heard someone saying, 'you need a vacation’  you just can't stop. You may turn into a workaholic and a cog in the giant machine of life. When you need to remember the other side of yourself, your own soul

A person needs to forget the world and remembers his creator. He forgets the reasons and remembers their cause. He regains his humanity that God created him to be. He remembers his major battle with Satan. It is freed from the captivity of matter and the obsession with calculations banking and taxes

To return to a human being as God created him, without frills, scars and deformities it leaves life is within each of us.

Hajj is a set of symbolic rituals; it is performed by Muslims in fulfillment of God's command. It is a season in which Muslims gather in Makkah coming from all every place on earth. You may find african with asian, american with arab, russian with white and white with black. Millions of tongues all chanting one word:

At your service, Oh Allah, at your service!

It is the unity of all mankind under the banner of God, The One, away from the hustle and bustle of greed and ambitions and struggles. The outfit of the Muslims on that day is sincerest expression of forsaking from the world's distractions.

Devotion to God alone, pure white cloth a person wears it over the flesh, as he was born for the first time.

He achieves the goal of concealment and removes the goal of pride in fashion.

Admittance to Allah needs to remove everything that means bragging, arrogance and ornaments. What really astonishing is that the white cloth is the same kind of covering defined and worn by anyone who wanted to give the message of abstinence and avoidance of the worldly pleasures, even, by the non- Muslims

In this sublime appearance, all the Muslims unite. There's no difference between the ruler and the ruled, the rich and the poor. This is the moment of meeting God. We are all equal in it, like the teeth of a comb.

Indeed, the pilgrimage is far from being a pagan ritual, and the Muslim understands the ultimate meaning of Hajj, the deaf stones and abstract movement

Do no harm or benefit, as is established in Islam who came to demolish paganism

And not to you, O Kaaba, so he directed it all God and not all of God and not the stone or the Kaaba

Tawaf around the Kaaba and then stoning the Jamarat Stone symbolizing Satan. Then the quest between Safa and Marwah mountains and standing  on the Mount of Mercy, Arafat

They are all material symbols of deep spiritual illumination such as the war on Satan and the pursuit of God's satisfaction

Monotheism and equality among human beings is not enough, a person believes in his heart. Rather, this heart must unite with feelings, with the tongue by saying, with the members at work…to express his complete slavery to God

It is the largest annual conference in the Muslim converts’ world, with the idea of surrendering to God.

It is the side on which all Muslims are equal Away from the kind of cars that everyone rides them or their job title. Their hearts are purified and their souls purified.

So if you perform the Hajj properly, the words of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) will apply to you - when he said:

'Whoever performs Hajj for Allah's pleasure and does not commit any evil or sins, he will return as he were born anew'
