Islam and peace

The description of Islam as a religion of peace is central to its teachings and principles. Islam emphasizes peace, both internally within oneself and externally within society and the world at large.

Peace is ingrained in the core values of Islam. The word "Islam" itself is derived from the Arabic word "Salaam," which means peace.  Islam teaches that true peace comes from a deep connection with  Allah (Almighty God) and living a life in accordance with His guidance.

Islam emphasizes justice, compassion, and mercy towards all beings. Muslims are encouraged to treat others with kindness and fairness.

Core values include respect for human rights, and rejection of terrorism, violence and extremism. Islam upholds the dignity and rights of every individual. It advocates for the protection of human life, property, and honor. The Quran emphasizes the sanctity of human life, stating that killing an innocent person is akin to killing all of humanity.
