Justice and equality in Islam

Justice and equality are central tenets in Islam, encompassing social justice and human rights. The Quran and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad emphasize fairness, compassion, and the inherent dignity of every individual.

Islam mandates justice as a divine command, advocating for equal treatment under the law regardless of status, wealth, or ethnicity. It strongly condemns oppression and injustice, promoting fairness even towards adversaries. Social justice in Islam includes a welfare system that supports the needy through mechanisms like Zakat and charity, ensuring economic fairness and ethical business practices.

Human rights are safeguarded, including the right to life, freedom of belief, and protection of personal honor and property. These principles collectively aim to create a just, equitable, and harmonious society where everyone's rights and dignity are upheld.
